“Somewhere Downwind” is a collaboration with Rachel Sherk. It is short work, devised for the Brick Theater’s resident artist program, that aims to construct a visual diary on the transitory nature of dwelling. In it, we use weather phenomenon and forecasts to measure our sense of permanence and test the vulnerabilities of our chosen shelters. We move between dance, mime, and puppetry with live accompaniment by Aaron Rourk and Zack Nestel-Patt on the double bass and clarinet.
